Since the presentation of the anti-corruption strategy in Cartagena, which took place last March 21, numerous actions have been developed to combat stereotypes and prejudices towards the immigrant community.
Within this campaign of dissemination, this week at the IES San Isidoro de Cartagena are carrying out different workshops with the students of First ESO, with the purpose of identifying the most widespread rumors among adolescents and analyze them with the students themselves .
The Councilor for Social Services, Carmen Martín del Amor, explained that the workshops are also being taught in other secondary schools such as IES Jiménez de la Espada, IES Mediterranean or IES Isaac Peral.
"We want our young people to understand that the rumors they have heard about immigrants are not real information and help them to reflect on how they affect the coexistence of our society, starting with the educational field," he recalled.
