Students from Murcia, Torre-Pacheco and La Unión have today discovered some of the research carried out by the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT) at its Tomas Ferro Ferro Experimental Station, such as tropical crops without soil (hydroponics), recovery of The Murcia hen, the potentiation of legumes and the technologies for saving water.
The visit of these secondary students is part of the Agro-Food Teaching Itineraries that every year the School of Agronomists of the UPCT, which will be repeated next Friday with another hundred students.
The institutes and schools participating in the first day of the itineraries were the IES Luis Manzanares de Torre-Pacheco, the College Nuestra Señora del Carmen de La Unión, the IES Sierra Minera of the same locality and the IES Licenciado Francisco Cascales de Murcia.
For each center have come about 25 students.
