Fuente de Cubas will celebrate this last weekend in April its Popular Festivals and the Third Cross of May, with which the Council of Festivals collaborates.
The activities will take place from Friday 28 April until Monday 1 May in Plaza Madrid in the Cartagena neighborhood.
The parties will begin with the inauguration of the festival grounds and the assembly of the 3rd Cross of May from 11:00 hours.
After the call with pasacalles in charge of the band of horns and drums of the neighborhood, which will begin at 18:00 hours, the structure of the cross with flowers will be decorated for its definitive formation.
The show of Fran and his dolls will put the children's note to the day from 19:30, and the musical duo Azabache, with his performance will put the end point to the first day.
On Saturday will take place the big day of the holidays, which will start with the great children's marathon at 12:00 hours.
In the afternoon there will be a rociera mass and the blessing of the Holy Cross at 7:00 p.m., followed by the procession in the pilgrimage of the Cruz de Mayo through the streets of the neighborhood.
Finally the proclamation of exaltation to the Cross, at 9:00 pm, will be run this year by Councilman Festejos, Juan Pedro Torralba, after which dishes of migas and products of the earth will be distributed among the attendees and will act Pepe Márquez 'El Cuco'.
Already on Sunday the Mandala group will give a dance show at 12:00 o'clock.
The great bullfighting tournament, at 19:30 hours, with children, youth and adult modalities, will serve for the neighbors to demonstrate their expertise.
Competitors and anyone approaching Plaza Madrid at this time, will be able to participate in the great 'chocolatada' with scones.
The music of Pablo Moreno 'Maca' will be the soundtrack of that night, from 21:30 hours.
On May 1, to end the parties this year has been organized from 14:00 hours a giant paella for all attendees.
