The area of ​​Culture and Heritage directed by Ricardo Segado, in collaboration with the municipal society Casco Antiguo, has ended with the installation of bilingual explanatory posters on the archaeological remains that shelter the subsoil of Morería Baja, on the western slope of the windlass.
In the action has also participated the municipal coordinator of Historical and Archaeological Heritage, Mª Carmen Berrocal.
In this way, the local government that presides over José López gives continuity to a type of action already initiated in the Plaza de la Merced and that has as objective the total integration of the archaeological remains in the visit by the city, making Cartagena a destination Didactically attractive for the visitor.
The measure implemented in Morería Baja, which has been financed with its own resources, consisted in the installation of five posters, with QR codes that allow to receive information in both Spanish and English.
Thus, the cartagenero or tourist that approaches this central enclave will know the origin and why of the name Morería Baja, the existence of a road, as well as enjoy photos until now unpublished.
The Government of Cartagena, in close collaboration with Casco Antiguo, continues with its intention to put into value the immense tangible and intangible heritage that hides every corner of the city.
In this case, turning into areas visitable what until a little less than two years ago were abandoned solar.
