The Municipal School Council met yesterday afternoon, April 26, under the chairmanship of Education Councilor, David Martinez, in the Auditorium of the old school Carmen Conde.
The meeting addressed various topics of interest for information, and as the main item on the agenda the election of non-school days for the school year 2017/2018.
Thus, after the session it has been established that the days in which there will be no class will be: September 21, October 13, December 7, and April 30.
"We have managed to get the parties of Carthaginians and Romans, who have been claiming it through the Federation of Troops and Legions since last year, to have it back on Thursday as a non-school day. Is that our councils can recover their local holiday, "said Councilor for Education, David Martinez.
For this reason, a letter has been sent to the Ministry of Education to request that in the municipal councils can be changed on October 13 for another day, given that other towns have their patron saint festivities throughout the academic year and may prefer That the children have no class on another date.
