The Plaza de los Héroes de Cavite was filled this Sunday with hats, umbrellas, picnic tablecloths and baskets to celebrate a colorful modernist picnic convened by the Cartagena de mi Alma Association.
An event to which participants came dressed in fashionable clothes from the late nineteenth and early twentieth, many moved to the place on their bicycles and even some with their horse carriages.
To this cultural encounter also appeared modernist associations and sympathizers of Yecla, Santomera and Valencia among other places.
The participants shared, in addition to conversation, empanadas, sandwiches and drinks, in this festive act, "one of the most important events of spring" for this cultural association, as they stated themselves in the facebook social network.
Children and adults enjoyed a sunny picnic Sunday, which they attended to support the initiative and discussed with the attendees the mayor of Cartagena, José López, and the second Deputy Mayor, Francisco José Calderón.
