On Thursday April 20 took place the final of the Chamber Music modality of the XX competition contest for young interpreters of the Region of Murcia 'Entre Cuerdas y Metales' organized by the City of Cartagena and the Professional Conservatory of Music of Cartagena.
It was one of the most spectacular finals of the contest in which nineteen interpreters were distributed in different groups, with the following program:
- RRRR by Andrés Valero: Federico Martínez Moreno, Juan Martínez Ballester, José Martín Murciano and Marina Pérez Fernández, all of them percussionists.
-West Side Story by L. Bernstein: Pablo Bernal Pozo and Ainhoa ​​María Evangelista Espinosa, oboists;
Angela Pedreńo Lorente and Maria Conesa Vidal, clarinetists;
Ana Ros Hernández, flautist;
And Carmen Martínez Navarro, percussionist.
- Trio Op. 114 (IY IV mov.) By J. Brahms: Lázaro Fernández Millán, pianist;
Pedro Fernández Millán, cellist;
Álvaro García Ros, viola.
- History of Tango: Bordel 1900 / coffee 1930 (IY II mov.) By Astor Piazolla: David Cano Terrones, guitarist;
And Fernando José Segura Martínez, flutist.
- Duet for oboe and bassoon, W 535, (II and III mov.) By Heitor Villa-Lobos: Miguel Carrillo Manzano, fagotista;
And David Murcia Gómez, oboist.
- Suite for Two Chelos Op. 22 (IY IV mov.) By Julius Klengel: Sergio Arques Iváńez and Alberto Arques Iváńez, cellists.
In this modality it was possible to listen to three winners of the first prize in individual modality that could not be presented again:
- Lázaro Fernández, winner of the first prize of the XVIII edition in the modality of piano.
- Pedro Fernández Millán, winner of the first prize of the XVIII edition in the modality of cello.
- David Cano Terrones, winner of the first prize of the XIX edition in the modality of guitar.
