This morning, the building 'La Milagrosa' has hosted a new meeting of the Mesa del Manifesto Fénix, which has involved the Councilor for the area of ​​Quality of Life, Francisco Calderón and the Councilor for Social Services, Carmen Martín.

During the meeting, in which the representatives of the Government of Cartagena participated, together with the social agents that make up the working group, have reviewed the different measures that are being implemented, progressively, to promote the integral recovery of the neighborhood Of Los Mateos and its surroundings, since the constitution of this working table in September 2015.

NEW INITIATIVES

Likewise, new initiatives have been reported, to be developed during 2017, through the provision of an access point to the procedures performed by Social Services of the City Council, to improve the fluidity of previous appointments and to increase the quota of management in Care Primary.

In addition, the members of the Mesa del Manifesto Phoenix have known the foresight that guarantees the realization, in 2017, of the Social Intervention Program with Youth, an action in which Rascasa would be involved.

WORK CONTINUED

Many actions have been implemented since September 2015 to contribute to the planned comprehensive intervention plan in Los Mateos.

Works have been developed in areas such as parks and gardens;

Bump;

lighting;

Replenishment of material;

Road signs;

Repainting;

Employability;

Sports education;

Steel, or cleaning.

Also by other means, such as the establishment of an intervention protocol between Urbanism and Social Services to guide the warnings and decrees of demolitions by ruins, or social intervention programs and educational reinforcement with minors.

Likewise, during last year, in collaboration with Rascasa, the Intervention Program for Leisure, Leisure and Prevention of Drug Dependence in Youth was implemented.

In another order of things, and in order to recover public spaces for local use, in Borderán street has been operated on a square that, currently, is being conditioned, in addition to acting on the Plaza de Perico 'El Cojo'.

Finally, it should be noted that, with the collaboration of the neighborhood, measures have been planned for reforestation of the surroundings of the Castle and the College.

FÉNIX MANIFESTO TABLE

The Fénix Manifesto is a comprehensive intervention plan in the neighborhood of Los Mateos, made up of a coordinator made up of groups and associations in the neighborhood next to the City Council of Cartagena, and consists of two lines of action: a comprehensive plan and an action oriented to the Prevention in order to avoid a situation of deterioration.

In the Mesa del Manifesto Fénix are represented the entities that operate in the neighborhood of Los Mateos as the Association of Housewives, Rascasa, Colectivo Gitano, College Aníbal, Architecture without borders and the coordinator of the Plan Fénix.

The members of this participation forum have been placed at a next meeting, to be held during the month of June.
