The mayor of Cartagena, José López, has advanced this morning in the morning the state of the remodeling project of Paseo Alfonso XIII.

In this remodeling plan, a conflict arises when it comes to setting the bike lane, since both cyclists and pedestrians must be protected.

Mobility is also a particularly important issue for the mayor, who has bet that the separation between asphalt and sidewalk is better with bollards than with a jump, so that architectural barriers can be torn down thinking of pedestrians and people with reduced mobility.
Over the entire project, López has acknowledged that he does not know when he will leave, because to do this he must have a sufficient budget to develop it.
For now, he has emphasized, only the pavement will be paved and the median will be fixed "because that has no waiting".
Also, he has announced that there is a project to place a small fountain in the roundabout of the submarine, simulating the one that had previously on the Paseo Alfonso XII.
