The Athletics Club La Manga has delivered on Wednesday April 19 the amount of one thousand euros to each of the five NGOs it supports through the collection of the VIII edition of Cross de Cabo de Palos.
The race was held last July, with the sponsorship of the City of Cartagena, and gathered more than 1,200 participants.
In addition, during the event the poster of the ninth edition of this sporting event, which will take place on July 29, has been presented and the opening of registrations has been announced, so that from this same Wednesday all those interested in participating in The next edition of Cross de Cabo de Palos can formalize your request through the website.
Thus, participated in the event the Councilor for Transparency of the City of Cartagena, María José Soler;
The mayor of Deportes de San Javier, Carlos Albaladejo;
And the president of the Athletic Club of La Manga, Martín Fuentes, who thanked the work of the five organizations benefiting from the donation, which have been Asido Cartagena, the Spanish Association against Cancer, Afemar, Las Hermanitas de The Poor and Fedaes (Stop-Fa Project).
For his part, Soler stressed that this race is one of the "most significant sporting events in the Region" and stressed that this is a test "young but experienced" thanks to the good organization that carries out each year the Club Of Athletics La Manga.
In turn, has pointed out that this is a "unique, attractive and complicated".
He concluded by congratulating the five beneficiary entities of this year and showed the willingness of the City of Cartagena to continue collaborating with this initiative, since "we believe in sport and in its power to offer solidarity."
