The Brotherhood Marraja has quoted to all the brothers of patent to the General Cabildo of Holy Thursday, the traditional 'Cabildo de las Yemas', that will be celebrated this 13 of April at 16:30 hours in the Paraninfo of the Polytechnical University of Cartagena, Located in the Campus of the Wall of the Sea (former Marine Hospital).
The Cabildo de los Yemas is a centennial act of reaffirmation of the feeling of shit, where the Brother Major reviews what happened during Lent, the procession of Holy Monday and the prospects of what will take place next: the processions of Good Friday and Holy Saturday .
During the course of the same, awards and distinctions are often given, highlighting above them the 'Marrajo de Honor', awarded to those whose work in the post of the Brotherhood is outstanding.
Tradition marks that, once the Cabildo is finished, the distribution of the characteristic sweets (yemas) to the attendants takes place, and hence the popular name of this Cabildo of Holy Thursday.
From last year the magazine pass and concert of typical marches celebrated by the armed thirds of Grenadiers and Jews will be celebrated in the Town Hall Square, after its exit in parades from the Alley of Bretau and street Jara, that will take place at 00 : 05 hours already of Good Friday.
