Like every Holy Tuesday, Cartagena is prepared very early for the traditional Procession of Transfers, an act in which the civilian and military spheres are mixed.
The artillery park, the building of the Military Government and the Arsenal host the preparatory tasks of the steps of St. John the Evangelist, St. James the Apostle and St. Peter respectively.
While the workers strove throughout the morning to decorate the thrones for the solemn act of this afternoon, the Arsenal Cannons Workshop held appointments of the San Pedro Group of the California Brotherhood, which they attended The Admiral's chief of the Arsenal, Aniceto Rosique;
The General of the Protection Force, Andrés Gacio Pane;
The mayor of Cartagena, José López;
The crier of cartagenera Semana Santa of 2017, Ginés Fernández Garrido;
The largest Nazarene of this year, María Jesús Moreno;
And Brother Mayor Californio, Juan Carlos de la Cerra.
After the act, the tasks dedicated to beautify the steps of the three apostles have been continued, provided that everything is ready this afternoon for the solemn Procession of Transfers, in which each saint will leave from his place accompanied by the thirds and also of The military garrisons to finally find themselves in the Plaza San Sebastián and finish their journey together in the Church of Santa Maria de Gracia.
