40 older people participated in the VITANZ: Vive y Danza workshop, which has been organized by the Elderly Unit of the Department of Social Services and Social Mediation of the City of Cartagena and which has been developed in the building La Milagrosa since last 16 from January.
Thus, the workshop has been extended until this Monday, April 10, and has been developed during every Monday from 10.00 to 11.30 hours.
'Vive y Danza' is based on a method of rhythmic and personal conditioning that manages to combine life with dance and offer to the elderly an alternative to feel, de-stress, recreate and learn, so that it has become an excellent alternative For the elderly to exercise and acquire the tools that allow them to successfully face daily challenges.
During the course there have been relaxation exercises, dance and mime movements, ranging from the most natural and relaxing sounds, to the rhythms of salsa, rumba, merengue, bolero and tango.
Together with the movement and the corporal expression, the situations and needs that can be given in daily life have been worked out, reflecting and contributing to their resolution, in such a way as to achieve an exercise not only physical but emotional.
