The Local Police of Cartagena continues with the restrictions of circulation of vehicles in the Historic District in order to guarantee the safety and fluidity of the pedestrian traffic, which during these dates fill the streets and squares through which the processions run.

Especially when Holy Wednesday, the California brotherhood will take to the street its magnum and it is also expected the arrival to port, on board of two cruises, of 4,416 passengers.

For these two reasons on Holy Wednesday, access to the Historical Center will be restricted to vehicles starting at ten in the morning.

From this time on, only access to emergency vehicles, security forces and personnel and services will be allowed.

These additional security measures can cause discomfort for citizens, but Local Police are reminded that they are carried out in order to ensure greater mobility and security in the large concentrations of people envisaged in the events and events of this Holy Week .

From Local Police it is also advisable not to use the vehicle to access the Historical Center, as well as to circulate along the coastal axis, which includes Calle Real and Paseo Alfonso XII, due to the influx of people;
