The traditional costumes of the Region of Cartagena, both the countryside and the sea, filled the streets of the city on the day of the patroness, the Virgin of Charity.
Groups and musical bands, associations of neighbors, Brotherhoods and other entities, up to 56 and with the group of the Department of Closings, participated last Friday Dolores, in the traditional Floral Offering to the patron.
In total, 1,615 people dressed in traditional costumes took their bouquets to the altar presided over by the Virgin in the Basilica of the Charity, after a parade of almost three hours in the streets of the historic center.
The mayor, José López, and the Councilor for Transparency, Mª José Soler, also participated in the parade with their traditional clothes Cartagena.
A festive day in which besides the color of the dresses and the crowns, shields, bouquets and other floral motifs;
Dancing and music also served to honor the Virgin of Charity within the Basilica.
In addition to the people enrolled in the parade, many people came spontaneously to offer their bouquets to the Virgin.
