Firefighters from the Cartagena Fire and Rescue Expedition Service (SEIS) used yesterday afternoon about four hours to extinguish the fire that had been declared in the facilities of a scrapping located in the road that connects Molinos Marfagones with Cuesta Blanca.
The casualty originated about three-fourths and affected affected approximately 32 cars (22 of them compacted) causing a dense column of smoke.
Three vehicles (two nurse bombs and a heavy urban bomb) and eight firefighters were moved to the site, together with local police personnel.
To extinguish the fire, 26 cubic meters of water, more foam agent was needed for the rupture of one tank of oil and another of diesel oil that in turn propagated the fire to another ten cars.
