This Tuesday, April 4, the Auditorium of the Professional Conservatory of Music of Cartagena hosted the Flamenco Cante and Flamenco Guitar Semifinal of the contest of young performers 'Entre Cuerdas y Metales', where the five finalists of this category were chosen.
Thus, the categories were, in the category of Cante Flamenco, Jesús Contreras Santiago, Adrián Márquez Ruiz and Maria Dolores Martínez Clemente, while in Flamenco Guitar modality the finalists are Daniel de la Cotera Sánchez and Daniel Madrid Jordán, who will compete the next April 26 for the first place in the 20th edition of the contest.
The jury that valued the performances was composed by flamenco cantaor Antonio Ayala Paredes 'El Rampa', who was winner of the Mining Lamp at the International Festival of Cante de las Minas;
The flamenco guitarist Antonio Muñoz Fernández, winner of the Cordón Minero in the same flamenco festival;
And the professor in the Music Department of the University of Murcia and director of the research magazine on flamenco 'La Madrugá', José Francico Ortega Castejón.
