The Cartagena Guild of Churches has presented this Monday, April 3, the first magazine that publishes the institution on Holy Week cartagenera, a publication that will be available free of charge and has been produced by the editorial MIC, with the collaboration of the City Council from Cartagena.
In the presentation has been present the mayor of Cartagena, José López;
The president of the Brotherhood Council and Brother Major of the Brotherhood of the Christ of Socorro, Manuel Martinez;
The editorial director of the editorial MIC, Esther Garcia;
The Elder Brothers of the Brotherhoods Marraja and the Resurrected, Domingo Bastida and Bernardo Simó, respectively, and the secretary general of the California brotherhood, Joaquín Ortega.
The magazine, of gratuitous character, will be divided between the four brotherhoods pasionarias of Cartagena so that they distribute them between the brother brothers, besides in the Offices of Tourism and the City council of Cartagena.
A print run of 5,000 copies in color, A4 size, was made in this first edition in which the pages have been distributed in a way proportional to the size of the four brotherhoods and has articles from the older brothers, chroniclers of these associations Religious, brothers and a greeting from the mayor of Cartagena.
Thus, you can read articles on sculpture, the charity areas of the brotherhoods, the young brothers, different groups or the national contest of saetas, among other topics.
The mayor congratulated the Board of Guilds for the initiative and for having found an editorial that has fully funded the edition through advertising, "at no cost to the cofradias" and has described the magazine as "one more means of dissemination Of our Holy Week ".
He recalled that, beyond the rest of the publications that are presented these days of the different confraternities and groups, this magazine is "more global", including the Socorro, Californios, Marrajos and Resucitados.
In this sense, he stressed that "it will be worth reading, disseminate and save," because "it will be a document that we will like to see year after year."
The president of the Board of Cofradías has assured that it is a magazine "very demanded" and that supposes "a very important advance for Cartagena, its Holy Week and for the Board of Cofradías", while it has emphasized that the Magazine has no cost.
For her part, Esther Garcia thanked the Board of Confraternities for trust in MIC to carry out this magazine, and wanted it to be "the first of many editions", since the publication is born with an intention of continuity with an annual periodicity.
CONTEST OF THE POSTER OF THE HOLY WEEE 2018
In addition, the president of the Board of Guilds has announced that the announcing poster of Holy Week 2018 will be for the brotherhood of the Risen One.
