The Associated Center of the University Distance (UNED) of Cartagena celebrated last Friday the 35th anniversary of its implementation in the municipality, at a ceremony attended by the deputy mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, and the Councilor for Youth, Ricardo Segado.
Castejón recalled during his speech the figure of the mayor of the city Enrique Escudero, "who fought to get the implantation in Cartagena of the UNED 35 years ago. Our commitment to this center remains unchanged, shows that we have increased one 8% this year's grant. "
During the celebration diplomas were awarded to students graduating from the courses 2014/2015 and 2015/2106 and silver badges were given to the six tutors with more than 25 years of exercise, and plaques commemorating the four tutors who retire this year.
The deputy mayor thanked the center for the work it is developing in the municipality.
"Today I shared with you the celebration of your day in which you have once again demonstrated the great quality of the UNED, not only in the training offered, but also in its involvement in the cultural and social life of our city," he said. .
The UNED took advantage of the ceremony to present the prizes of the photography competitions' Images of the Illustrated Cartagena of the XVIII century ', along with those of prizes of literature, whose contest was called' Cartagena in the XVIII century.
