Hundreds of participants and inquisitors gathered this morning at the esplanade of the Heroes of Cavite, where they began to distribute the riders and garments to the 3,500 runners and walkers who will take the exit at eight in the morning Saturday April 1 and will travel more than 50 kilometers through the different castles, forts and batteries that surround the city.
The VIII edition of the Route of Strengths will include the participation of athletes from 36 provinces of the Spanish geography as well as from five foreign countries.
At the same time, 56 teams will meet in this sporting event of enormous magnitude.
Among the provinces that most runners contribute to the test stand out Alicante, with 341 participants, and Madrid and Cadiz with 99 and 91 respectively, although the majority, 3,140 are from the Region itself.
The countries of origin of the six participants of other nationalities are Uruguay, with two, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, all with one representative.
The regional television channel GTM has also made a special program of the Route of Strengths from the esplanade of the port, through which the mayor, José López, and the Deputy Mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, have passed.
