The Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena offers on April 8 its first concert of Holy Week in symphonic format.
The training, which will be directed by Jaime Enguídanos, will perform in the Auditorium and Congress Center El Batel several marches and touches typical of Cartagena's Holy Week.
Thus, the orchestra will have the collaboration of the singer Lola Cayuela, with which the musicians will interpret a program that includes pieces such as Virgen del Rosario, by Javier Pérez;
La Micaela;
Mektub, by Mariano San Miguel;
The slow march of the grenadiers;
Our Father Jesus, Emilio Cebrián, Crucifixus, by José Alberto Pina;
Perico Pelao;
San Juan (El Destierro), by Vicente Victoria;
The ancient march of the Jews;
Descent, by Gregorio García;
The regular march of the Jews;
In Memoriam, by Agustín Coll;
And Triunfal, by José Blanco.
The adaptations for symphony orchestra of these pieces have been in charge of the musicians cartageneros Javier Pérez Garrido and Jose Alberto Pina Picazo.
The concert, for which tickets can already be purchased at a price of 6 and 8 euros, will take place in Room A of El Batel, at 12.00 p.m.
DIRECTOR
Jaime Ismael Enguídanos, a native of Lliria (Valencia, is currently in charge of the Music Unit of the Levant of Marine Infantry of Cartagena as Comandate director.) He trained as a musician in the Superior Music Conservatories of Valencia, Las Palmas and Murcia , In the specialties of Composition and Direction of Orchestra and Clarinete, specialty in which he obtained Matrícula de Honor and Mention of Honor End of Career.
In the field of composition, he has won several awards such as the third Composition Prize for Villa d'Albocásser Music Band in 2011, the first Prize in the 6th Composition Competition for Music Bands of the Galega Federation of Music Bands with "Aires do Norte" in 2013, as well as the first prize of the VI Composition Competition for the band "Vicente Ruiz Monrabal" organized by the Spanish Confederation of Musical Societies, which was presented on December 5 in Palma de Mallorca In 2016. He also obtained special mention of the jury in the IX composition competition for music band organized by the Galega Federation of Music Bands in 2016.
In addition, he has been chosen on numerous occasions as a member of the jury in various composition competitions and contests for bands of music and in 2013 was named Director of the Symphonic Band of the Federation of Music Bands of the Region of Murcia.
As guest conductor, he has been in charge of the Musical Union of Lliria, the Santa Cecilia de Cullera in the V Ibero-American Congress of composers and directors of Music Bands, the Primitiva de Lliria, Musical Group Sauces and the Santa Cecilia de Pozo Estrecho, with which it obtained the first Prize in the Contest of Bands of the Region of Murcia of 2011.
