The Consistorial Palace hosted Monday the jury meeting, chaired by the Councilor for Sports, Ricardo Segado, was in charge of choosing the winners of the Cartagena Sports Awards last year, a jury of which also included municipal technicians and Representatives of the media of the city.
After the meeting, Segado said that "luckily in Cartagena we have a wide range of athletes, coaches, clubs, entities and companies of a high level and commitment to sports activity."
In this regard, the council stressed that "it is an obligation for the City Council to recognize their work, as in many cases bear the name of our city throughout the country and around the world."
Following the announcement of the winners, the family photo of the winners and members of the jury took place, where Segado congratulated both the winners and the finalists "for their constant work and for being an example of effort and improvement for all" .
Thus, after the recovery of these awards last year at the proposal of Ricardo Segado, the Cartagena Sports Awards reach their XXXV edition.
The awards ceremony will take place on May 17 at the Auditorio y Palacio de Congresos at 8:30 p.m.
