The XX Contest of young performers 'Entre Cuerdas y Metales' began its qualifying phase on Monday, March 27, with the wind metal modality, which has already selected the 11 finalists who will compete for the first place in this contest. Next April 19.
Thus, after the performances, which took place in two countries beginning at 4.30 pm and at 6.30 pm in the Auditorium of the Professional Music Conservatory of Cartagena, the jury chose the finalists, who turned out to be Pedro Diego Pérez and Francisco José Carmona, in the modality of Trompa, of the conservatories of San Javier and Lorca, respectively;
Or the trumpeter Francisca Sánchez, student of the Conservatory of Caravaca.
In addition, Arturo Sánchez, of the Conservatory of San Javier, was classified;
Víctor Carpena, of Cieza;
And Félix Ismael Gallardo, of Lorca, of the specialty of Tuba;
Cristian Manuel Carreto, of the Conservatory of San Javier, that competed with the Bombardino;
Or the trombonists Miguel Angel Vidal, Pablo Baños, Iván Lillo and José Manuel Parrón, all students of the Conservatory of Cartagena.
The jury was chaired by Alberto Garre, with the head of the program in the Department of Youth, María José Martínez, as secretary, and with the vocals Juan Gijón, Jesús Martínez, Unai Sánchez and Francisco José Señas.
