Thirty students from the Joint Training and Employment Programs, given by the Local Development and Employment Agency (ADLE), today obtained their certificates of professionalism in the specialties of Socio-Health Care for Dependent Persons at Home and Auxiliary Operations of Gardening, Nurseries and Centers Of Gardening.
Ana Belén Castejón, the deputy mayor and president of the ADLE, was in charge of presiding over the award ceremony, which was also attended by the Agency's manager, Manuel Mora.
"I know that returning to classrooms is not easy, but you have done it with enthusiasm and a lot of willpower, the same that you have applied in practical training. Delivering the certificates of professionalism is a great satisfaction and corroborates that the work we do since The Agency for Local Development and Employment is worth it, "said Castejón.
The Joint Training and Employment Programs are included in the support measures to improve the employability of those over 25 years of age and those under 30 enrolled in the National System of Youth Guarantee.
The courses, which have lasted one year, have offered students vocational training and work practice through the execution of works or services of public interest or social interest related to the new employment fields.
The practices have been carried out in the gardens of the Center for Occupational Training in Canteras and in the homes of the elderly included in the lists of help at home provided by Social Services of the City.
"It must be said loud and clear that Cartagena has 15 new professionals trained in social and health care for dependent people at home and 15 new gardeners and nurseries, so that all companies in the municipality know," said the deputy mayor.
These programs are co-financed by SEF, FSE and ADLE and its budget amounts to € 407,438.05.
