The program Cartagena Piensa, organized by the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena, proposes a children's philosophy workshop for children between the ages of 7 and 10.
The activity is framed in the "Philosophy for all" cycle, and aims to teach the youngest, to formulate questions as well as to raise answers in a logical and reasoned way.
This philosophy workshop for children, taught by the association Ágora Filosofía, is based on the Lipman method and is structured by a first part where we will proceed to the reading of a short story that will serve as a starting point to raise the first questions and Make the first reflections.
Subsequently, the teacher will ask the attendees some questions that aim to initiate children in the exercise of thinking and reasoning, where they can intervene in a free and reasoned manner, according to their respective ages.
After the dialogue between the students and the teacher, a game will be proposed that will allow us to deal with the questions and answers reached during the dialogue in a more experiential and philosophical way.
These games developed during the workshop will be complemented by artistic activities such as making drawings, making collages, etc.
Cartagena Thinks, through these children's workshops of philosophy seeks to foster and preserve in early ages the curiosity about the things that surround them.
At the same time it is intended to teach reasoning skills that make them capable of reasoning for themselves, in a fun and at the same time didactic way.
The activity will take place on Thursday, March 23, at 19.00 hours, in the Children's Library of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center, it will last one hour and its free registration, until completing capacity.
