The Association of Women Cofrades of Cartagena has convened the second edition of its Contest for Beautification of Balconies and Facades of Holy Week 'City of Cartagena', which organizes with the collaboration of the City of Cartagena, with the aim of encouraging the decoration of the Buildings of the port city on the occasion of the celebration of Holy Week.
"It is a great initiative that allows our city to be better than ever in these days where our streets are full of people", said the Councilor Delegate for Culture and Equality, David Martínez, who was in charge of presenting this new announcement.
In the presentation press conference was accompanied by the president of the Association, María Victoria Botí, and the secretary of the same, Caridad Banacloig, who recalled that the registration deadline is open until next 3 April.
Martínez assured that the City Council of Cartagena "wanted to support this initiative from the outset", and encouraged all Cartagena to participate in the contest, not only citizens who want to decorate their homes, but also "shops, stores And bars "since" everyone can decorate this establishment Easter "so that Cartagena and visitors can" enjoy those beautiful facades of our magnificent buildings. For her part, the president of the association has reiterated the gratitude of the Women Cofrades to the Department of Equality for their support and collaboration in the activities carried out throughout the year and has ensured that it aims to "motivate the entire city of Cartagena to decorate its terraces, balconies, establishments and institutions not only to compete but to beautify these streets that will host a very special event "because" it is a festival that is declared of International Tourist Interest. COMPETITION RULES
The secretary of the association recalled that all the neighbors and collectives of Cartagena can participate and that they will enter into competition "all the elements visible from the public way that contribute to the exaltation and beautification of the balcony or facade", as long as they break " And respect for the passage of processions. "
Registration in the contest, which is free, is done with the delivery of the registration document, which can be downloaded from the blog of the association.

After Easter, the winners of this second edition will be made public, with a first prize of 250 euros and a diploma, a second prize of 150 prizes and a diploma, and two prizes of 50 euros and a diploma.
