The Children's Library of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center will host on Wednesday, March 15, at 6 pm, the creative workshop "On the other side" for children between the ages of 5 and 12.
This activity, taught by the primary teacher Moisés Yagües, aims at participants to learn to express and communicate with autonomy emotions, ideas and experiences related to migration, borders and human realities behind them, through processes Of artistic creation.
The work "On the other side" of Moisés Yagües, is born before the great migratory movements of people that are currently taking place in the world and in which simultaneously they construct walls and borders, imaginary or physical lines that fragment the coexistence and that become Obstacles to overcome.
The characters of this illustrated work are those beings willing to everything to live "on the other side".
With this workshop, the artist proposes a reflection directed at this occasion to the children's public on this subject, in addition to promoting the development of the capacity for observation and sensitivity, allowing in this way to appreciate the aesthetic and visual qualities of the works.
"On the other side" is within the cycle "Report the flight, think the welcome and build the hospitality" of the program Cartagena Piensa, in collaboration with the Plan Refugium of the University of Murcia.
Through this cycle and through different encounters it is sought through word, art and culture to promote the approach of all the public to the harsh human reality behind forced migration and the conflicts that produce it.
