This midnight starts the second phase of the contest 'Rétame y Aprendo', in which the students of ESO and Bachillerato with best scores of each school in the region will face each other through the platform UPCTPlay, answering questions that will come To their mobile phones.
In the first phase of this initiative of teaching innovation organized by the Ministry of Education and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) have involved 3,857 students from 57 educational centers throughout the Region of Murcia.
Students could choose whether in the challenges they posed, colleagues from their own institute, answered questions of general culture or the subjects they study.
Mathematics, followed by Biology and Geography, Mathieu Kessler, Vice-rector of Information Technologies and Communications at the Polytechnic, said this morning.
The contest has recorded "an impressive activity" during the nine days that lasted from the first phase, in which they have played 23,000 games and have thrown 155,000 questions.
"A success from the first day, where 10,500 games were made and we had to resort to a second server to support all the challenges," said Kessler.
"The data are conclusive, the objective has been fulfilled that students learn by playing and playing by learning," said Ana Millán, director general of Educational Innovation.
The IES Jimenez de la Espada de Cartagena, the educational center in which more students were registered to participate in Rétame and I learn, has welcomed on Monday the kick-off to the second phase of the contest.
The center has received two scholarships for a course of voice and dubbing that is taught at the Center for the Production of Digital Content of the UPCT.
The students Celia Bescos and Lidia Paredes have been selected to enjoy this audiovisual training.
The two students from each center with the highest score in the questions of general culture will be disputed this week the places in the final face, to be held at the Polytechnic of Cartagena.
During the next few weeks, the best of each center will also compete in the different specific subjects, for which there will also be face-to-face and various prizes.
The 'Rétame y Aprendo' program is developed through 'UPCTplay', the platform of games applied to the teaching of the Polytechnic of Cartagena.
Students compete with their own mobile devices or from any computer.
