The City of Cartagena convenes the VIII edition of the Mucho Más Mayo Festival, which will be held from May 12 to 21.
This year the festival will have as a guest neighborhood the Peral District - José María de la Puerta which, together with the historic center of Cartagena, will share the different cultural projects that take place in the city.
The basis of the public call for artistic projects can be consulted from March 10 on the board of the municipal website and the festival itself.
The deadline for submission of projects is 27 March.
This call allows the presentation of projects, both individual creators and collectives of any source, for artistic interventions in the urban environment developed in all creative records, using public spaces and unconventional places of the city and municipality of Cartagena.
The content or contents of the projects will be free, but especially those projects that respond to the motto 'Communities imagined', chosen as the theme of this VIII edition.
Equal consideration will be those artistic works that address the motto '2017, Year of the Enlightenment'.
As a novelty, this year artists of any artistic discipline or creative language will be able to present projects without age or number limit.
A committee composed of professionals from different artistic disciplines will be in charge of selecting the projects to be carried out, respecting the principle of gender equality and evaluating the quality, adequacy, material and economic viability of the projects.
Also Mucho Más Mayo, declared as an emerging art festival, will recover this year 'Arte al Centro.
Festival of Students', which joins other fixed sections such as' Short Week ',' One Urban World ', conference cycles,' Much more Music 'and a program of workshops that will make up this year's program.
The festival will have a digital section on its website.
In this section will be included the selected projects directed expressly to her (specifying it in the inscription sheet).
