The UrbanCT program, promoted by the Council of Youth of the City of Cartagena, joined this Friday to the activities in favor of gender equality on the occasion of Women's Day, which is celebrated on March 8, with a special edition based In Hip Hop Fem in which female artists of the stature of Dyba Xina, Lorny, Dammy, Zinika, Violet, Dicka, Zryal and the Bgirlis 'Murcia break girls' were the protagonists.
The event also counted on the presence of the Councilor for Youth, Ricardo Segado.
The event, which is usually organized outdoors in the backyard of the Youth Resource Center building on the Paseo de Alfonso XIII, where UrbanCT has its headquarters, had to be postponed for several minutes because of the strong wind that forced to move The performances to an inner room and prevented the realization of the graffiti programmed for this day.
Nevertheless, that did not distract the public and a good number of people of all the ages went to the place to enjoy the evening, with which the room enjoyed a good affluence.
The amateurs and fans of the urban disciplines were recreated thanks to the good atmosphere and quality performances both on stage and on the track, where there were break dance shows and also some spontaneous that during breaks had the opportunity to catch the Microphone and improvise brief 'cockfights'.
UrbanCT opens its doors on the first Friday of each month, serving as a meeting point for all those young followers of different urban culture movements such as Rap and Hip Hop, graffiti and break dance, among other disciplines.
Those interested and interested in painting in the UrbanCT should send a photograph of their best graffiti to juventud@ayto-cartagena.es, putting on the subject "Live Graffiti UrbanCT".
If they are selected they will be able to carry out their work in a canvas of 3'20 x 2'20 m.
