The Municipal Infantile Schools extend this course 2017/2018 its offer with a new center in La Palma that will allow to accommodate almost 800 children of the municipality, counting on the 278 that already were enrolled of other courses (and that have preference in this one) And 500 new students that can be admitted in the total of ten children's schools with which the network has.
In addition, there is the possibility of expanding some of the classrooms according to demand.
On the occasion of the beginning of the enrollment period, which starts on Monday, March 6, the Councilor for Education, David Martínez, presented the registration campaign on Friday.
PROGRESSIVE COSTS ACCORDING TO INCOME
At the press conference Martínez highlighted the "main advantage" of the Municipal Infantile Schools, which in their opinion is the price, which in the concept of schooling ranges between 21.06 and 123.90 euros and in the Dining room between the 25 and the 103 arranged, in both cases, in five sections according to the income per capita.
In addition there will be bonuses depending on the level of income, with extra discounts for having a brother in the center, for disability, being a single parent or large family, etc.
As for the food that will be offered in the dining room, the food is made in the center with quality products and adapted for each of the ages.

The different centers offered have large classrooms and common rooms in which care is taken to the smallest detail, equipped and adapted to all ages and needs, and which also serves students with specific educational needs with curriculum adaptations and educators Support for integration.

REGISTRATION
Registration will be done in a telematic way and all information will be available on the website of the Department of Education.
Likewise, it may be called by telephone to the same Council, which has started a special service on the occasion of the beginning of the enrollment period.
The website also has a simulator to calculate tuition prices.
INNOVATIVE PROJECT
The mayor of Education has defined this initiative as a "very innovative educational project" aimed at "the integral development of students", in which "it is very important also the participation of families in the center."

In the same line he recalled the activities that have been carried out in other years and that will continue to be programmed during this course such as children's jazz and concerts for the family to be integrated in the center.

Its objective is "to be a relationship of the center with everything around them, associations and families, which is not an isolated center but is very integrated into the activity of the people, neighborhood or deputation."
Martinez has stressed that "the City Council never seeks profitability because what is intended is to provide a service to citizens" and has recognized that it wants to achieve the goal of "that next year will lower the price a little more."
Likewise, he has been willing to continue "in that way" because his interest "is that all mothers and fathers may have a suitable place to leave their children and seek a complete education of the students."
"We invite all mothers and fathers to come to the schools and to know them, because it is worth it," he said, since they can be visited at any time during opening hours, and he has made "do not hesitate to Go to see them "whenever they want.
