The Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Violante Tomás, met today with the president of the association of relatives and friends of Alzheimer's patients of Cartagena and Comarca, AFAL, Pedro Arroyo, and members of its Board of Directors.
Tomás stated that "we want AFAL to help, inform, advise and support the families of Alzheimer's patients, because their experience is very valuable, since they have more than 20 years of activity with the objective of advising, Slow down and reduce the socio-sanitary symptoms and complications caused by neurodegenerative diseases, both in patients, their relatives and caregivers. "
The association serves families with patients suffering from different dementias and Alzheimer's who suffer very directly the symptoms of their relatives. AFAL is part of the federative structure of the Associations of Relatives of Alzheimer's Patients of the Region of Murcia (FFEDARM) and of Spain (CEAFA).
