On the occasion of the International Women's Day, the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena has organized a sports event that will feature women's football.
The event will be held in the municipal soccer field of Ciudad Jardín, Saturday March 4, from 12:45 hours.
Before, at 11:15 a game of the Local League of Base Football of Cartagena will be played, between the Garden City EF Cartagena and Cartagena FC in the modality of soccer 8 and at 13:00 hours will be the turn of the league Federation of autonomic category with the meeting between Cartagena City Garden EF and Lorca Féminas Broccoli-Mechanical.
Between party and party, will take place the event, which will consist of a defile of the teams carrying a commemorative banner, exhibition of the fry team of aesthetic gymnastics of group of the Club Rítmica Cartagena and the delivery of a gift for the participants and for the referees, Among which is the recently selected international, Mª Dolores Martínez Madrona.
Then, an "honor" throw will be made by Trinidad Martínez Carmona, in recognition of her great work developed in the women's soccer base in Cartagena, being the first founder of a women's club in the port city.
The event will include the presence of Ricardo Segado, Councilor for Culture, Archaeological Heritage, Sports and Youth, Jose Miguel Monje, President of the Regional Football Federation, Isidoro García, president of the FC Cartagena Foundation, Eduardo Armada as President of the COLEF of the Region of Murcia and directors of the clubs present.
At the conclusion of the planned events, they will address a few words to all attendees, which will highlight the great presence and incorporation of women in sport and especially the modality of football.
The event counts with the collaboration of the Federation of Soccer of the Region of Murcia, Foundation of FC Cartagena and COLEF of the Region of Murcia.
