The deputation of La Palma starts its patron saint festivities in honor of Santa Florentina this Friday, March 3, with a program that will include children's activities and games, sports, the XX National Encounter of Bolillo Fittings, the traditional Floral Games of La Palma, Masses in honor of the patroness and music.
Thus, the programming will start this Friday with the coronation of the queen and the ladies of the parties, after which will take place the reading of the proclamation, in the Civic Center.
Saturday, March 4, will be Children's Day and there will be inflatables, pintacaras, globoflexia, animation with the characters of Peppa Pig, as well as a verbena enlivened by the rumba pop group, 'David Andreu Band'.
On Sunday will be held the XV Concentration of tractors and the XX National Encounter Bolillo Encounters, while on Saturday March 11 the programming has been designed focused on the young people of the county and the area, so there will be paellas contest, Music live and discombile during the day.
At night, there will be the XLIV Flower Games of the Campo de Cartagena de La Palma and the XXIV National Young Poetry Contest.
In addition, March 11 is the first day of the triduum in honor of the patron saint of La Palma, who will have her big day on Tuesday, March 14, with the solemn mass in her honor, Baile del Vermut, procession through the streets of Village and castle fireworks.
On the other hand, in the framework of the patron saint festivities, Women's Week has been scheduled, which will run from Sunday, March 5, through Friday, 11 and will include workshops, theater, paella and a kitchen competition, among other activities.
There will also be Sports Week, from Monday 13 to Sunday 19 March, with tournaments of basketball, athletics, tennis, rhythmic gymnastics, a master class of zumba and a handball match.
