The Councilor for the area of ​​Quality of Life, Francisco Calderón, held this Monday morning a working meeting with the manager of the area of ​​Health II, José Sedes.
The meeting took place in the Hospital de Santa Lucía, and has also had the participation of the different heads of service of the management.
IMPROVEMENT OF MUNICIPAL MEDICAL CONSULTANCIES
The agenda of topics discussed has begun with the need to deepen improvements aimed at the maintenance and conservation of municipal medical offices.
Thus, it should be remembered that the area headed by Calderón has been developing a monitoring plan to check the status and operation of these sanitary facilities.
This analysis is completing a list of priorities for actions to be taken by the Consistory, within its maintenance obligations, and the Murcian Health Service (SMS), responsible for the equipment.
USING THE BENEFITS OF THE HYPERBARIC CAMERA
Likewise, Calderón has transferred to Sedes his idea about the suitability of promoting a study, carried out from rheumatology and internal medicine of the Hospital of Santa Lucía, that addresses the benefits that can cause the use of the hyperbaric chamber in people afflicted with fibromyalgia and syndrome Of chronic fatigue.
The proposal has been assumed by the management of the area of ​​Health II in order to advance in its implementation as soon as possible.
It is worth remembering that on 8 February, Calderón held a meeting with the Major Brother of the Holy and Real Hospital of Charity 'Los Pinos', Jose Vera.
In this meeting the foundations were laid to foster a collaboration agreement between the Hospital and associations of the municipality and in which the City Council would act as an intermediary.
This agreement would be articulated to obtain that the entities that require it can use the hyperbaric chamber in order to obtain the valuation of clinical studies related to certain diseases.
In line with this objective, last Friday, the mayor visited the Hospital de Caridad, accompanied by those responsible for the Association of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome of Cartagena and Comarca (AFIBROCAR), to make them aware of the possibility of using the Hyperbaric chamber for the benefit of those affected by this disease.

Finally, referring to the new doctor's office of El Llano del Beal, Calderón has reported the completion of the conditioning work, whose last step was the management of the electrical connection.
The councilor of Health of the local Government has informed Sedes the completion of the actions of municipal jurisdiction, so that only remains that the SMS proceeds to equip it.
The aforementioned body foresees that this work will be completed during the first half of the year in order to put it into operation.
The health infrastructure, which will replace the current practice, will serve an estimated population of 2,500 patients in the area (El Llano, El Beal and El Estrecho).
In this way, the local government headed by José López will respond to a widely requested neighborhood claim.
The medical center, which is an investment close to 300,000 euros, consists of three adult consultations, two pediatric and nursing.
Likewise, it will be complemented later with the construction of a contiguous multipurpose building that will make it possible to have a meeting room and a warehouse, with the aim of providing a greater operability and functionality to the sanitary complex.
