Projects can be submitted until April 18 |
The Ben Arabí Higher Education Institute, together with the Miguel Hernández Cultural Foundation, have convened the III Literary Contest "Aula Miguel Hernández" which will coincide this year with the 75th anniversary of the poet's death on March 28th.
In this third edition is intended to publicize the literary legacy of Miguel Hernandez, through a literary contest, where students from different educational centers in the Region of Murcia will be able to present their projects until April 18.
The contest is aimed at students of Secondary Education, Baccalaureate and Basic Vocational Training, as well as teaching staff.
The literary projects must approach the work, or the person, of the poet from a creative point of view, allowing, this year, the presentation of different discursive subgenres such as reflections, literary recreations, "digital anachronisms", etc.
Once the deadline for submission is closed, a jury composed of the teachers of the Department of Spanish Language and Literature of the IES Ben Arabí, will award a diploma and a prize in 150 euros to those students who are winners in the first two modalities.
In addition, there will be a third prize for the teaching staff that will involve the publication of his work by the Miguel Hernández Cultural Foundation.
This literary contest was created after the creation of an educational classroom dedicated to Miguel Hernández within the Ben Arabí institute, with the aim of disseminating in the city and among the students of the Center the figure of the renowned poet of our Spanish literature of the twentieth century.
This year is also part of the program of commemorative events that are being organized in Cartagena by various institutions and associations, together with the City Council, which has declared Cartagena "Ciudad Hernandiana"
