Asteamur, the Association of Parents who fights to help people with autism spectrum disorder, awarded on Tuesday the Deputy Mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, for the struggle of the City of Cartagena for social inclusion.
The presentation of this award took place during the charity dinner in the events of the V edition of GastroTEA, a solidarity day organized by Asteamur with the objective of raising funds to finance therapeutic interventions aimed at the integration and improvement of children with Autism spectrum disorder.
The president of Asteamur, Nani Martinez de Haro, thanked the support of the deputy mayor.
"Whenever we need you, you are available," he said during the presentation of the award, to which Castejón replied that "being able to collaborate with you is a real privilege because you are a hardworking, enthusiastic and demanding collective that believes in what it defends and strives to improve our society".
The Deputy Mayor emphasized that the obligation of the Administration, both local, regional and national, is to create a facilitating, understandable and welcoming environment in which we can all live in a standardized way, under equal conditions and opportunities
