The exhibition 'Passengers' arrives in Cartagena to broaden the view on the current refugee crisis.
For this, it has works done with people living in the refugee camps of Greece and France.
In addition, it is accompanied with a photographic sample and video installation as well as replication of the field that will aim to show how is the daily life for these people.
The official inauguration ceremony will take place on Tuesday, February 21 at 11.30 in the hall of the UNED, and will be attended by the Councilor for Culture, David Martinez, vice-president of the Regional Assembly, María López Montalbán, the director Of the UNED, María Luisa Martínez, the International Relations Coordinator of the UPCT, José María Molina, as well as different NGOs and associations from the Region.
The exhibition, which can be visited from Tuesday morning until Friday 3 March, is organized by the Murcia Passengers Association and independent volunteers displaced to the refugee camps of Greece and France.
The objective is to promote intercultural exchange and awareness, and aims to create a space for dialogue in the face of the current humanitarian crisis faced by refugees through the messages that each author wants to get to the destination to which he is on his way.
Therefore, talks and a special film cycle on this subject will be scheduled at the Caja Mediterráneo aula, which will begin on Thursday, March 2 and will be free of charge, as well as guided tours in which secondary schools Of the Region that will serve to put into context the situation in which thousands of people remain on the margins of Europe.
There will also be recitals and shows during the days of the exhibition.
The exhibition comes to Cartagena supported by the City of Cartagena, UNED and the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena.
In addition, the Autonomous Community, the City of Murcia, Cajamurcia Foundation and the University of Murcia, as well as companies and humanitarian and cultural associations of the Region collaborate.
