One man was killed and one woman seriously injured after being shot with a shotgun by another person this Sunday, February 19, in a garage in the Barriada de José María de la Puerta in Cartagena.
The incident took place around 2:45 pm, when the Local Police of Cartagena received warning that there had been shots in the neighborhood.
Up to the place of the events, three local police units of citizen security moved, which proceeded to collaborate in the seconamiento of security of the zone, so that it facilitates the access to the Security and Emergencies bodies.
As a consequence of these facts, a man was deceased, while his partner was transferred in critical condition to the Hospital of the Arrixaca of Murcia.
At this time, the woman remains admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.
On the other hand, a local police officer from Cartagena took charge, protected and proceeded to transfer to a police unit a minor who was at the scene.
In turn, the alleged perpetrator of the shooting was arrested by the National Police officers in the garage where the shots were fired, and after the removal of the corpse, the Local Police service was terminated.
