The City Council of Cartagena, through the Department of Sports, led by Ricardo Segado, has organized a round table called 'Heart, body and mind'.
The event is framed within the activities prior to the Route of the Strengths, and aims to serve, through various talks, to improve the knowledge of the athletes participating in this test.
The day will take place on Monday, March 6th at 7:30 p.m. in the ceremonial hall of the Consistorial Palace.
The entrance will be free until the capacity is completed.
Ricardo Segado stressed that, next to the eighth edition of the Route of Strengths, which will take place on Saturday, April 1, the City Council, in collaboration with Practiser and the Marine Infantry School General Albacete Fuster, has decided to call this talk With the aim of "showing everything about the physical and psychological preparation that must be taken into account in order to face a test like this".
ROUNDTABLE WITH EXPERTS IN THE MATTER
The round table will be presided over and moderated by Segado, who has assured that "we understand that it is a very useful and necessary chat for all those who are going to realize the Route of the Strengths".
For this, "has been formed a table of speakers of authentic luxury", added the mayor, with the presence of four experts in the preparation of sports tests that require a great demand, dealing with such diverse issues as injury prevention or The mental strength.
Finally, Ricardo Segado has invited to attend the roundtable to all those people who are going to participate in the Route of Strengths or who practice sports usually to know firsthand "details that can change our way of facing the preparation thanks to The explanations of the specialists in the matter ".
The four speakers will be:
Matías Pérez, section chief of the cardiology department of the Morales Meseguer Hospital, a cardiologist at Practiser and an associate professor at UMU, who will talk about the benefits and risks of physical exercise and cardiovascular prevention.
Genaro Zapata, a physiotherapist who will direct his talk to explain how to improve performance and how to prevent injuries.
Víctor Serrano, graduated in human nutrition and dietetics, will deal with sports nutrition for high performance tests such as the Route of Strengths.
Cristina Mora, a graduate in psychology and expert in leadership, will analyze the most important aspects to take into account in relation to strength in body and mind.
VIII EDITION OF THE ROUTE OF STRENGTHS
The Route of Strengths reaches this year its eighth edition.
The test was officially presented last January 12 by the mayor, José López, who highlighted the "spectacular mix of sport, heritage and nature" that meets this test.
The competition will feature a 53-kilometer course that will involve nearly four thousand athletes.
Likewise, the mayor noted "the spectacularity and uniqueness of the event," and stressed that "there may not be as complete an athletic test in the world as this."
