The Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT) and the Official College of Naval Engineers of Spain have signed a collaboration agreement to jointly promote entrepreneurship among professionals in the sector.
Through the Blue Ocean initiative, created by the collegiate organization, it will be promoted that the graduates of the Technical School of Naval and Oceanic Engineering by the UPCT can establish their own technical offices, introducing innovative technological applications specific to naval engineering.
The agreement signed between the rector, Alejandro Díaz, and the managing director of the College of Naval Engineers, Javier Llompart, also helps to strengthen ties between the two entities to harmonize the degree and master studies that the UPCT imparts according to the training needs Current industry related to the naval sector, according to the director of the Superior Technical School of Naval and Oceanic Engineering, Gregorio Munuera.
In addition, incentives will be provided to students of the Polytechnic of Cartagena to participate in the courses of specialization and continuous training offered by Fundación Ingeniero Jorge Juan.
The UPCT is one of the three Spanish universities that has a similar agreement with the College of Naval Engineers.
