The Municipal Commission of Citizen Participation has approached this Thursday the possible creation of a new municipal council council in the Rincón de San Ginés, in the south of the Mar Menor.
During the meeting, however, agreement was reached between the participants to postpone the start-up of this body, for the time being, and to continue studying this option.
Councilor for Participation, Juan Pedro Torralba, who presided over the meeting, explained that the municipal executive was not in principle in favor of its implementation because, pending the drafting of a new regulation of citizen participation and reinstatement The districts, was considered from the government team that "was not the most urgent".
Thus, in this meeting "it has become clear," according to Torralba, "that most neighborhood associations were neither aware nor did they know that they wanted to create a neighborhood council in the area."
It is for this reason that his birth has been delayed in order to reach a greater consensus on this issue.
"We believe that they should be two neighborhood councils for the extent of land that has," said the mayor.
Likewise, it has opted for these new entities to collect, on the one hand, Cabo de Palos and La Manga and, on the other, the area that covers Los Nietos to Playa Paraiso, including Los Belones.
In the same line, has indicated that the associations and groups in the area are in agreement with this proposal.
In addition to the Councilor for Participation, Juan Pedro Torralba, who has chaired the meeting, have also taken part the Councilor for Finance and Interior, Francisco Aznar, and the Councilor delegate Portal and Transparency Office, María José Soler.
This organ also includes representatives of the municipal groups of the City of Cartagena as Diego Ortega, by the Popular Party;

The Municipal Commission for Citizen Participation is an advisory body, contemplated in the current Citizen Participation Regulation, which channels the participation of citizens and citizens in the areas of municipal action.
Its functions are basically to propose activities to gather public opinion on matters of general interest, to report on the appropriate places for the installation of decentralized bodies, as in the case of neighborhood councils, to propose guidelines for The form of distribution of the municipal subsidies and all those that the full Municipal orders him.
