MC continues to drive active social inclusion policies.
On this occasion, the Cartagenerista formation will propose, for approval in the municipal plenary session of February 23, the authorization of a limited space reserved for people with reduced mobility during the various processions or parades planned in the city ( Carnival, Easter, Carthaginians and Romans, feasts of the Magi and others).
The text reflects the need to reserve an area on the public road to this group, providing a place in which to place their vehicles adapted.
This way, MC attends a just citizen's claim, delving into "the social policies that have made possible the full accessibility to the Consistorial Palace", said the spokesman of the municipal group MC, Francisco Calderón, in reference to the recent installation of a ramp Mobile that gives access to the main door of the Palace Hall.
It should be remembered that this infrastructure, mobile and removable, is allowing people with reduced mobility to access the City Hall by the main door, and not by a side door, as they were forced to date.
The MC municipal group spokesman, Francisco Calderón, stated that "MC wants to continue to act with the sensitivity shown to date to the groups that need more attention. Also encouraging these people to enjoy the parades and recreational acts held in The city having a reserved place ".
"In my party, we think that inclusion policies must be a priority, because the first thing is people. That is why we must continue working towards accessibility, facilitating their full integration," concluded the mayor.
Bounded area
The text of the motion includes the delimitation of an area properly marked and reserved for people with reduced mobility to access with their vehicles adapted.
Likewise, it contemplates the possibility that it could accommodate the companions in the case that is necessary, for example, when it comes to volunteers.
The space would be signalized even vertically so that the rest of the citizens can realize its existence and respect the area delimited.
Finally, the MC proposal covers such significant celebrations as Carnival, Holy Week, Festivals of Carthaginians and Romans or the feast of the Three Kings, being open to other representations and acts that are likely to interest the citizens.
