The mayor of Cartagena, José López, held a meeting this Tuesday, February 14, with the Consul General of Ecuador in the Region of Murcia, Gustavo Mateus Acosta, in which they discussed the upcoming elections in Ecuador, which will take place Next Sunday, February 19th.
The consul has invited all Ecuadorians living in and around Cartagena to the polling station, which will be located in the hotel Los Habaneros, which will be open from 7 am to 5 pm and where they can exercise their right to vote, for which Must present their passport or certificate.
In addition, Acosta has expressed his gratitude to the mayor and to Cartagena for their solidarity after the earthquake suffered the American country a few months ago, as well as for its "openness to all the activities that Ecuador and the consulate that I represent carry out."
Some 2,800 Ecuadorians are called to the polls in Cartagena and the Comarca this Sunday.
Historically, as the consul has explained, 60% go to vote, while emphasizing that a level of voting is expected around two thirds on this occasion.
