The Labor Risk Prevention Service of the Polytechnic University (UPCT) today began a series of talks to advise students on how to react before an emergency and to publicize evacuation plans and safety regulations, among other topics.
It is the first time that UPCT students receive these prevention talks, customized for each course.
It is expected that soon more classes and centers will do.
Talks last between 10 and 15 minutes and will deal with methods of injury prevention, such as maintaining a correct study position.
In addition, special emphasis will be placed on the Self-Protection Plan of the center, so that the students know how to proceed in case of emergency and know where they can evacuate the facilities as quickly as possible by the nearest emergency exit.
The first two talks will be on Tuesday, February 14, with schedules of 11:45 and 12:00, in classrooms 123 and 118 respectively.
Wednesday will be repeated with the same hours, in classrooms 125 and 126, although there will be another talk in the afternoon, at 17:45 in room 302. The last two talks will take place on Thursday, also at 11:45 and 12:00 in classrooms 122 and 117.
The Labor Risk Prevention Service will give this week seven talks, all addressed to students of the Faculty of Business Sciences.
