The City Council of Cartagena, through the Department of Sports and in collaboration with the local media, has convened the XXXV edition of the Cartagena Annual Sport Awards 2016, whose objective is to recognize the work of people and entities that, either for Their direct activity or personal initiative, or as participants in the development of sports policy, have contributed in a prominent way to promoting or spreading the sport physical activity in the municipality.

The prizes established cover a number of categories, as set out in the terms of the call, and will be granted solely on the basis of proposals that will be submitted in writing and duplicated until March 3, in the registry of the Department of Sports of the City Council of Cartagena, so that the candidacies must contain the formal proposal and a summary of the motivations referring to the merits contracted in the year 2016.

The jury is composed of the mayor, the Councilor for Sports, the coordinator of Sports Activities of the City Council, two technicians of the Department of Sports, the responsible for Sports in School Age, the person responsible for the Area of ​​Government Culture and Sports, a representative member Of each Communication Media domiciled in Cartagena and the Secretary of the Department of Sports, with voice and no vote.

Once it evaluates and selects the proposals, it will vote for the best, so that the awards will be delivered in an act to be organized by the Department of Sports, whose date will be determined later.
