The deputy mayor and councilor of the Economic Strategy Area, Ana Belén Castejón, presented this morning in Torrevieja the patrimonial and cultural offer of the municipality in the city of Alicante, along with the first deputy mayor and mayor of Torrevieja, Fanny Serrano.
The promotional brochures of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas, as well as the main information about its routes and activities, can already be consulted in the offices of Tourism of Torrevieja, thanks to the agreement reached today between the deputy mayor of Cartagena and the first deputy mayor of the municipality Alicante.
In addition, Cartagena will participate in the commemorative events of the National Day of Norway, celebrated in Torrevieja on May 17 and which congregates more than two thousand Norwegians.
The objective of this collaboration is to take advantage of the tourist synergies of both municipalities.
"We want visitors, mainly foreigners, who reside in Torrevieja for long periods of time to know the cultural and archaeological offer of Cartagena and come to visit us. Participating in events such as the celebration of the National Day of Norway, among others, will be very positive For us because it will allow us to promote our heritage, "said the deputy mayor of Cartagena.
The tourist offer of both municipalities is complementary.
"From Cartagena we can offer visitors to Torrevieja our sites and interpretation centers, while they will present their ecotourism routes in our tourist offices for the Natural Park of the Lagunas de La Mata," said Ana Belén Castejón.
"In addition, we can exchange our calendar of events and school and senior tourism groups. Our offers complement each other perfectly and we must take advantage of it," said Fanny Serrano.
The first deputy mayor and mayor of Torrevieja, accompanied by several technicians, will visit Cartagena on March 2.
"This is a starting point that we want to project over time, intensifying our collaboration," said Fanny Serrano.
The deputy mayor of Cartagena has also been received this morning by the mayor of Torrevieja, Jose Manuel Dolon, who has given a salt boat as a gift.
This collaboration was forged during the International Tourism Fair in Oslo, where Cartagena participated with its own stand, while Torrevieja did it within the space of the Valencian Community.
