Firefighters from the Fire Extinguishing Service and Rescue of the City of Cartagena have stifled this afternoon two almost simultaneous fires that have occurred around 20 hours in Los Nietos and Los Dolores.
The first of them has taken place in the Plaza Cuatro Santos of Los Nietos.
The fire originated in the staircase of the property and affected one of the houses, when entering by one of the windows the hot gases produced by the combustion.
An envelope of Fire Brigade Cartagena composed of a heavy urban bomb, four firefighters, a driver and a corporal have intervened in the extinction, supported by Guardia Civil and Local Police that were already in the scene of the incident.
The second one took place in Martínez Navarro Street in Los Dolores.
Apparently a short circuit in the kitchen hood of a house was the cause of the fire.
Another complement of firemen of Cartagena intervened in the works of extinction, having to ventilate later by the great amount of smoke that had accumulated in its interior.
