The National Center for Professional Training of Cartagena guarded and studied the space spheres found in Mula, Calasparra and Hellín (Albacete), recently delivered to the United States
The National Vocational Training Center of Cartagena, under the Employment and Training Service (SEF), has been classified as a National Reference Center, according to an agreement approved today in the Council of Ministers, at the proposal of the Minister of Employment and Social Security, Fatima Báñez.
The decision of the central government is "a very important step for this center, because it will improve the training related to the chemistry sector currently being taught," said SEF CEO Alejandro Zamora, who also stressed that " Will help expand this training to other areas related to this professional family, such as pharmaceuticals or plastic, an industry that is generating many jobs in the region.
It is a center that offers training to about 500 students per year in the professional areas of 'Analysis and control', 'Chemical process',' Pharmachemistry ',' Pulp, paper and cardboard 'and' Transformation of polymers of the professional family Chemistry 'in the field of vocational training.
Zamora explained that "from now on, with this qualification will be signed a work plan with the Ministry that will have new funding, which will allow to expand and improve the training center."
The SEF-dependent center has been in charge of guarding the space spheres that were found in Mula, Calasparra and Hellín (Albacete) between November 2015 and March 2016. Since then, the areas were used as teaching material in one of the Courses related to the chemistry that the SEF offers through this center: 'Organization and control of non-destructive tests'.
The students of this course made inspections of the interior of the spheres with endoscope, in which they verified that the pieces are formed by two semi-spherical metallic caps united with a weld of great quality.
At the end of last month, the Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism and Employment, through the SEF, gave representatives of the United States Embassy in Spain and the Air Force of this country said areas, which are already in a laboratory Of advanced space technology from the US Air Force.
