Workshops of Photography and Computer science, a Bazaar of Cinema, cultural routes, monthly conferences on interesting subjects like the feeding, the singing, the medicinal plants and a long etcetera, conforms the educational and cultural offer of the Popular University of this year, that have Presented this morning the councilman of culture, David Martinez, and the director of the Popular University (UP), Pepe Maciá.
In total more than 130 free courses and workshops in neighborhoods, councils and other cultural centers arranged.
The UP broadens its offer in these programs in response to the great success of participation and demand that was obtained in the last quarter of 2016 in the 72 workshops that were offered.
An increase in the number of activities that aims to reach as many citizens as possible and also seeks to "keep the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center very lively", where a large number of these courses will be carried out, said the councilman .
The workshops are grouped in several blocks: Cultural Routes of Cartagena, Develop the art you carry inside, Humanities, New technologies and photography and Health and Well-being.
Each of these thematic fields contains a wide range of workshops and courses, among which are the recovery of the film workshop forum, photography activities and to learn how to use digital tablets, emotional management workshops or art therapy workshops among others .
It is, therefore, "an opportunity for all Cartagena and Cartagena to improve their personal and professional training, becoming a reference in the field of training in the municipality," said Martinez.
This program consolidates in this edition the pilot experience that was realized last year with the courses in districts and councils, that after the success obtained "Popular University intends to improve its service reaching a greater number of citizens with a Much wider offer, "said the director of the UP.
Of the courses in neighborhoods and councils, Maciá wanted to emphasize that most of them "have a duration of 6 hours, which allows anyone to take that little time to form or acquire new cultural training."
All of them will be free of charge.
Another novelty of this course will be cultural routes so that citizens can discover the hidden treasures of our city.
Through them you will be able to know the monumental trees of Cartagena, the Glass Museum or the history of the illustrious personages of Cartagena.
Associated with the workshops, the Popular University will organize a cycle of conferences so that a monthly lecture on topics related to the different courses and workshops offered this year
